Benenson was lead pollster and Senior Strategist for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, as well as serving for President Obama in 2008 and for President Bill Clinton in 1996.
Benenson founded Benenson Strategy Group in 2000, a highly acclaimed global strategic research and consulting firm.

This was the first of two David Muir speaker events focusing on the US Elections and was followed by Teddy Goff, Digital Director for Obama for America and Partner at Precision Strategies.
In conjunction with the John Smith Centre and the College Employability Team, the David Muir Speaker Series has brought senior figures from the world of politics and the media to the University of Glasgow to discuss contemporary political issues since 2012.
