promote trust in politics and public service. We do
this in three key ways: Research, advocacy and
events, and development programmes.
Supporting people from all backgrounds to access public life is central to our work. Our development programmes aim to break down the traditional barriers many face participating in politics and public service.
A personal and professional development programme aimed to remove barriers that can be faced by minority ethnic people moving into leadership positions in society
Breaking down barriers to participation by paying students
above the Living Wage for work experience with MSPs.
The John Smith Public Service Award is a two-year
professional development programme offered in partnership
with The Robertson Trust

creating employment opportunities and developing networks
