On February 8 our Centre Director was a guest panelist on BBC’s Politics Live programme.
Kezia Dugdale joined Alec Shelbrooke MP; Mayor of West Yorkshire, Tracy Brabin and Mo Hussein, Political Advisor and former Conservative Special Advisor.
One of the issues that was discussed was greater severance pay for MPs with debate over whether those standing down should be given a higher pay off. Watch the clip below where Kezia talks about the difficulty in attracting the best people to stand for public office.
The panel was also asked about proposals from the UK government to curtail protest rights.
In this clip Kezia discusses this with Mo Hussein.
