TWO CENTRE ALUMNI TO JOIN THE BOARD
We are delighted to announce the appointment of two Alumni Network members to our Board.
We have appointed two John Smith Centre Alumni Network members to our Board to bring fresh perspectives, younger viewpoints, and diverse experiences to our strategic direction. We aim to deepen understanding of programme participants’ needs and provide alumni with meaningful opportunities to shape the Centre’s work.
Chair of the board Baroness Smith of Cluny KC said:

Welcoming alumni to the Board brings invaluable lived experience and fresh perspectives, ensuring our work remains relevant and impactful for the next generation. We’re delighted to welcome Amy and Adam to the Board and look forward to working with them.”
Amy Fraser and Adam McInnes are both former Parliamentary Internship Programme interns and are joining the board with immediate effect.
The John Smith Centre Board, comprising members from diverse political and professional backgrounds, sets the Centre’s strategic direction and ensures its mission is achieved.
Amy Fraser
Amy is Officer Manager in Humza Yousaf MSP’s constituency office.
She is a University of Glasgow graduate, where she achieved her MA in Politics and Theatre Studies in 2020. Amy was an intern on the Parliamentary Internship Programme in 2020.

Adam McInnes
Adam McInnes is Head of UK Regional Public Policy at NatWest Group.
He is a University of Glasgow graduate, with MA (Hons) in Economics and Economic & Social History, and MSc in the Global Economy. Adam was an intern on the Parliamentary Internship Programme in 2017.
