NEW POLICY PODCAST “SPOTLIGHT” LAUNCHED

The University of Glasgow has launched a new podcast called “Spotlight” designed to discuss public policy and the political process here in Scotland, across the United Kingdom and internationally.

Hosted by Kezia Dugdale, Director of the John Smith Centre and Prof. Graeme Roy, Dean of External Engagement at the University of Glasogw, “Spotlight” takes two different substantive policy topics each week and explores them with leaders in the field.

As well as being a brilliant opportunity to showcase some of the very best research and programmes undertaken by colleagues at the University of Glasgow, it will also serve as the perfect platform to explore the relationship between academia and policy-making, bringing in experts from the third sector, public sector and the business world.

The “Spotlight” podcast will be weekly during the Scottish Parliament election campaign, moving to a fortnightly production after that.

Over the next few weeks, you can expect features on housing, social care, welfare reform, the criminal justice system and covid inequality amongst many other topical issues. You can find it on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or listen below.
