DR ELLI LOOSE BECOMES NEW RESEARCH AND ENGAGEMENT MANAGER
We’re delighted to announce today that Dr Elli Loose is becoming our new Research and Engagement Manager.
Elli has been with the John Smith Centre for the last 16 months and has already had a massive impact – from redesigning our website to coordinating our research programme to boosting our social media presence across the UK. She then co-wrote and designed our first ever UK Youth Poll earlier this year, presenting the findings in the House of Commons to MPs and dignitaries.
The new post will see Elli overseeing and delivering our communications strategy, building up our external networks, and leading all our research activities here at the Centre. Coming at a time when the Centre is seeking to expand our offer to students here at the University of Glasgow and take our campaigning message across the UK, it’s a vital role and one we know Elli will jump on with her customary passion and intelligence.
Elli has a PhD in Interdisciplinary studies at the University of Glasgow and previously worked for a creative agency in Glasgow which provides digital and print services for third sector organisations. Outside of work, Elli is a keen jigsaw enthusiast and avid reader.
Taking on the role today, Elli said:
“Working at the John Smith Centre has been an absolute joy and I’m delighted to take my work forward as new Research and Engagement Manager. The year ahead promises to be an exciting one and I can’t wait get stuck in to elevate our work and message. Thank you to everyone who has helped me get here.”
