The John Smith Centre marked the launch of a new book on Scotland’s devolution journey at the Glasgow University Union on 27 August.
In their new book Unfinished Business, former First Minister Henry McLeish and the University of Edinburgh’s Professor James Mitchell dissect the record of the first 25 years of devolution and, ahead of the Scottish elections in 2026, set out their ideas on how to improve Scottish democracy over the coming decade.
They were joined on the panel by Johann Lamont, the former leader of the Scottish Labour party, and Annemarie Ward, CEO of FAVOR UK which represents the voices of communities affected by addiction.
