From accepting payments for lobbying to attending parties during the Covid-19 lockdown, do some MPs think the rules set for others don’t apply to them? When this happens what are the procedures the House of Commons follows? Do these need to be reformed? What can parliamentarians do to make this institution worthy of public trust?

We were delighted to be joined by Dr Hannah White, the deputy director of the Institute for Government, to discuss her new book: “Held in Contempt: What’s wrong with the House of Commons?”

Hannah spoke to our directory, Kezia Dugdale.
